
Leqing Wang, a distinguished Chinese violinist born in Zhengzhou, began her musical journey at the age of four. Since then, she has blossomed into an exceptional musician and performer, appearing in renowned concert halls across Asia, Europe, and the United States, including the prestigious Berlin Philharmonie, Symphony Hall in Boston, and Lincoln Center in New York.

She has also been invited to prestigious festivals such as the Heifetz International Music Institute, Les Écoles d’Art Américaines de Fontainebleau, Mozarteum Summer Academy, Meadowmount School of Music, Atlantic Music Festival, and Lake George Music Festival, where she worked intensively with renowned artists including Ulf Hoelscher, Pierre Amoyal, Gérard Poulet, Mark Kaplan, and Ani Kavafian.
In addition to her solo career, Leqing is an avid chamber musician. She has received valuable coaching from members of the Emerson Quartet, Artemis Quartet, Borromeo Quartet, and Muir Quartet, as well as from Eberhard Feltz and Robert Levin. She has also collaborated with distinguished musicians such as Michele Levin, Michelle LaCourse, Jinjoo Cho, and Emilio Colón. Recently, Leqing completed a residency at the University of Mary Washington, where she performed a chamber music concert and gave an open masterclass for local high school students.
Leqing earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees at the University of the Arts Berlin, where she studied with Erika Geldsetzer. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University under the guidance of Professor Peter Zazofsky.

Leqing has won top prizes in numerous competitions, including the Grand Prize at the Bach Competition of Boston University, first prize in the Soloists’ Competition at Boston University, second prize in the Boston University Chamber Music Competition, and the Special Jury Prize at the Ravel Prix awarded by the Fondation Maurice Ravel. In 2023, she performed Walton’s Violin Concerto with Maestro James Burton and the Boston University Symphony Orchestra.
